This motherfucker copy and pasted my writing over on my 50-shades-of-karkat blog for *their* Karkat roleplay blog. You can say that I am pretty pissed off at the moment.
Don’t fucking do that, guys.
Don’t just copy and paste someone’s character profiles, stories, headcanons, or what have you, WITHOUT asking the person who wrote it.
If you’re going to do it *at least* give the original writer credit.
It’s the *same* fucking person who deleted my writing/comment on my art too, and then said it was “too much crap” when I asked them not to do that.
So mad right now.
This was originally uploaded to my deviantART journal.
Well, I’m really sick of cyber bullying around here. If you haven’t seen it around deviantART, you’re lucky because it breaks my heart. It’s so ridiculous. I’ve seen a lot of it around the anime/manga community lately.
I am not going to name any users here.
But seriously. You guys need to stop. I’m sure you know who I am trying to direct if you’ve seen it around. Anyway—
Dear cyber bullies,
It’s NOT right to send notes to people saying:
-Go die because they’re heavily influenced by someone’s art
-You want a commission, give them references, etc, then when the artist notes you back, telling them their art is shit
It’s NOT right to:
-write hate comments on someone’s page
-make a new account several times after being blocked just to harass someone again
-harass the commissioners and adoptable buyers of other artists
-attack someone on multiple websites because you don’t think one is enough
What makes you think you can go around saying this stuff? You’re not better than anyone else.
It hurts me to see this going around. Cyber bullying is horrible, in the past I was called an art thief (even though I showed WIPs) and those few comments by that one deviant hurt my feelings pretty bad. I blocked them because they were just being a troll but eh, it still sucked. I haven’t dealt with too many actual trolls myself, most of them are trying really hard to be my friend and I ignore them when they’re rude; however, there’s some people that deal with actual troll accounts all the time.
Imagine getting tons of hate mail every day in your mail box? You think you’ll like that sort of attention? No! It can push people down the wrong path and really bring them down in spirit.
Art is a form of self expression. The way you draw can be heavily influenced by other artists or famous mangakas- and if it is, you should simply admit it when asked about inspiration. It’s as simple as that. As the “original” artist or mangaka, there’s a line which you need to draw (for heavy referencing, style “copying”, etc), but you need to be mature about it. Sending your watchers and followers over to the artist who is heavily influenced by you to “attack” them is very childish. It reminds me of children in a playground ganging up on one individual. You can easily lose a lot of respect you’ve gained from the public this way and people will always remember what you did. Now sure, you might say, “Well I don’t care what people think”.. Well, I’d like to laugh at that because obviously you do. You’re sending your supporters to attack someone, you submit your art online so people can view and give you feedback— otherwise, you’d just draw for yourself at home and never upload.
People, in general, care what others think.
Most of like to share our art, but not when it brings bad attention with every single upload who would want to keep sharing?
Please stop it. There’s more to someone than just their art. Don’t forget the other side of the computer that they’re on. Someone’s sitting there that has to take in all the shit and try to bare with it.
Please, please, stop attacking others. Noting someone without an intention to truly hurt them is fine- it really is, but bashing them, telling them they should die, or sending others over for bullying instead of dealing with the situation directly yourself - is not.
Now, I know cyber bullying will never go away. Bullying in general will always exist because we are humans, we grow jealous and become defensive and say horrible things, but we can at least take a chill pill and ease up on it around here.
Remember, stuff on the internet can go viral in minutes. Same goes for dArama on deviantART.
Please reconsider what you’re doing before hitting that send or submit button.
There’s a difference between talking things out maturely and bullying.
Thank you for your time.
It’s really bugged me and actually has given me a horrible distraction from my art because I see it all around dA ;_; I feel better getting this off my chest.
Comments: Feel free to write about your past experiences if you’d like or comment on how you feel about this.
Please do not mention names of ANY users in the comments, it’s pretty rude especially on this confession. I hope there’s some of you who will help spread how I feel about this.
Please read every word of this.
Attacking someone can get really out of control. What’s worse is that it can travel off the Internet over to that person’s real life if someone popular enough online has groupies that condone the bullying.
I’m speaking from personal experience. I will never forget an AA I did a few years ago, where I met someone that was connected to the group of people who enjoyed trolling me. She “knew” who I was from online, and was surprised to see me in the AA…since my art is considered shit to these people.
I tried my best to make a friend out of an “enemy”. I tried to be nice to her. I hung out with her a bit. I wanted to show her I wasn’t actually all those nasty things that I got called online.
I gave her a small piece of artwork I made since she was into the show it was from as well.
You know what she did? She slapped it on the middle of her table and proceeded to tell people that the piece of artwork was hers, or she left out the fact that it was mine (and I was somewhat right across from her—pointing distance/hearing distance) when the people fancied over the piece.
She ended up getting tons of commissions of said character that was featured on the artwork that weekend, while I got none of the character since my table came after hers with the way the AA was flowing.
I later found out that her and my troll group’s ring leader had been conspiring about “screwing me over” over on tumblr.
So I’ll say it again. Please read all of the above…because it can get pretty serious and actually hurt people off the internet as well.

I…was going to save this on-coming rant for a week or two from now since I feel it might lesson my chance at getting con-commissions, but what the hell…I’m seeing this submission now, so I might as well say it.
I agree 100%
I’ll be honest, this was the main thing that pissed me off about Bronycon, was the “artists” that sold ripped-off-the-net cutie marks (or made them as vectors) and sold them on cards and buttons.
And, I’ll be honest again…I did terrible at Bronycon. I can accept the fact that my art is not that good (though I’ll accept it with sadness), but what bothered me was the “art” I saw people walking around with…and then them dropping the line of “Darn, I want this but I spent all my money” when they got to my table.
Vectoring is not art. You’re tracing. Stop it. You can vector all you want, but DON’T FUCKING SELL IT! I had an artist show me her prints all-proudly as she told me how she vectored from the show and then made it all pretty~ with a boarder and such.
There was an artist that took screencaps of the show and slapped text over it for buttons.
I saw more people walking around with that shit than the actual REAL stuff the non-theft artists had at the con. It made me sick.
I spent hours making my buttons from scratch, and people would come look at them, look at me, and ask if I had cutie mark buttons. I told them I didn’t, and they walked away…to the next table who did…and throw their money at that person.
Now for my rant that relates to this actual secret.
I also saw more people walking around with prints and shit of copy-the-show-style than I did of them walking around with prints from artists who used their own style. Using myself as an example…I apply my own bit of drawing method to my ponies…I use black outline, and I give them more animu-ish eyes and a blush. I also color them differently than they do in the show.
You know what my top-seller was at Bronycon? This: http://full-on-zombie.deviantart.com/gallery/34705705#/d4b0vx9
The ONE print I had where I mimicked the show’s style.
For buttons, I made Ms. Cake and Derpy in the same composition, and I sold NONE of my Ms. Cake, but tons of Derpies…as Ms. Cake was drawn with my own style, and Derpy was drawn in the show’s. (x)
Oh, and just an amusing note. I sold 2 Cheerilee prints (real impressive, I know), but I had MORE people than I kept track of come to my table and ask, “Why did you make Cheerilee black?” …and then when I told them that I thought she would look pretty that way, they just said “Oh-” and walked away.
Please support the artists who draw and make their products from scratch, as opposed to those who use screenshots, bases, and pre-made memes. Screenshot products are stealing the hard work of the animators of the show, and are stealing buisness away from legitemate artists who work hours on their arts and crafts, and then pay money to get prints made. It’s difficult to deal with for the real artists when they see a naive person who just sold a low-quality and effortless inkjet printed screenshot on a button for the literal-100th time.
It’s discouraging when the legitimate artists cannot make a sale on their own drawing and painted from scratch buttons, or any other creation for that matter, because a person had just used their spending money on the previous screenshot/base seller. ESPECIALLY if that person wants the button or print, or product from the actual artist and can no-longer afford it.
Stop killing artist alleys, please back up real artists.
Prepare for World NOM-ination!

The piece, entitled I Can Haz Global Devastation?, ended up in 3rd place in shirt.woot’s Derby #155: Kawai!!!!!!! ^_^ with 955 votes.
this will not happen, thanks to my blog…
NO! DO NOT BUY THIS SHIRT! I normally don’t write shit about other artists, but for Ramy and Sylivia…I make an exception. There’s also WAY too many “likes” on this to ignore.
The “artist” of this piece, Slyvia, stole the original design from Owl’s Studio.
I find it funny that this is going around Tumblr now when ED is down with the original picture done by Owl’s Studio.
Ramy and Sylivia are the worst kind of people. I’ve dealt with them personally myself, and they do not deserve any sort of gratification for anything they do.
I’ve also removed the links from the original post here, because I don’t want to encourage people to buy this shirt. I would also ask that this get reblogged to let people know the truth.
