If I unfollow you…

Um…I have one of those scripts that tells me who unfollows me, and I honestly don’t mind or get offended when someone does (and I apologize if I posted/said something that offended you to make you unfollow me).

The only reason why I have the script/notification, is because I want to slow down my dash. I follow almost 700 blogs. So I thought that if someone unfollows me, I’d figure I would just unfollow back? I’m not doing it out of revenge or spite. That’s just stupid and petty.

I just figure it’s a way to not have so many blogs on my dash from people who are no longer interested in me/my stuff.

I mean, if I know you and like your stuff, and you want to unfollow me (which is fine), I obviously won’t unfollow since I enjoy your art or whatever it is.

However, a lot of people I just don’t know … back when I first made a tumblr and followed anyone if they followed, just to have content on my dash.

So I just wanted to say, sorry if I unfollow you after you did to me. I swear by no means am I doing it out of any sort of emotion.

plot twist: yahoo buys tumblr and we get proper blocking features, lockable posts, a sent folder in messages/fanmail with a better interface, ability to search multiple tags, removes the post and message limits, proper search engines for likes/archives and removing that bloody "reblog as a link" option.

people who ship things have reasons but i don’t think i really want to explain them to some as rude as you are!! i don’t think i should have to prove anything to you especially since you probably wouldn’t listen to me anyway

It’s a shame you don’t want to tell me your reasons, I would listen to you, because I’m seriously really fucking curious as to why people enjoy Vantascest, it’s just a simple wonder. Have you ever wondered why someone likes something that you dislike? I’m sure you have.

Sorry that I came across as rude, when I’m getting things off of my chest I happen to be much more harsh than I actually am.

And, there’s basically nowhere where people can express their opinions anyways, I’m sure eventually someone would’ve found the post, and my blog, and gotten upset over my view on this.

Me properly tagging it just got the process over quicker, I guess.

honestly you don’t have to like vantascest!! but tagging things is a no no

ventingplaceforloser, there is nothing wrong with writing your opinions on something, getting your frustration and dislike out for something, but it is considered bad etiquette to tag it.

I see on your blog you intend to use the space there for your rants and unpopular opinions, which is okay, but for the future, if you don’t want to get people upset, is to not tag it where the [passionate] fans of said topic go to read, enjoy, and get their material. It’s asking for dramu.

It is perfectly FINE to want to know why someone likes or ship something. It is perfectly alright if you are curious about it.

However, what is riling people up, is that you wrote a bit of hate and disgust about the pairing (topic) beforehand in the same post.

It would be alright to tag a post as something (Vantascest), if you just wrote something along the lines of, “Hey, I’m curious to know your reasons for shipping this, please send them to me!”

I’m not trying to lecture you or to speak down to you (I mean yeah…on my Karkat/other account I was trying to lecture), but I am writing this for you for the future, because of the purpose of your blog, if you want to avoid more situations like this.
